On the Roofs of Narrow Boats

I was taking an evening walk along the Kennet and Avon canal, and as I got past the boats from the crusing companies I began to find those on which people lived. Boats with paint jobs based no on the company livery but on the personal taste of the owner, probably combined with whatever paint they had available. Boats where rather than a planter from the garden centre things were growing in old tins, assorted flower pots or boots. Boats with assorted solar fittings. The Internet can enthuse about how interesting Bradford On Avon is for the photographer; these narrow boats were the most visually exciting things I’d seen all day.
